Most erotic art is too obvious.

 

For me, the suggestion of nudity has always been more arousing than the nudity itself. 

 

I’ve tried including genitals in the art and it never felt right. 

 

I would draw an erect penis, then either giggle or cringe.  Which is odd because, as a gay man, they’re one of my favorite pastimes. 

 

So, I started filling in the adult bits with shadow - recreating the anticipation that gets lost when light floods the scene.
