The darkest and most introspective of the collection, Shadow Says unfolds in deep blacks, violets, and muted greens, punctuated by circular rose-toned forms. Angular drips and splintered shapes cut through the composition like traces of shifting shadow.
 
This painting presents a charged psychological landscape, where multiple focal points compete for attention, creating a sensation of instability and unease.
 
At its center, a vivid window of cool blues provides a striking contrast, allowing the viewer a slight reprieve from the surrounding darkness. It reads as the last hope, the light at the end of the tunnel - or perhaps it’s from this splinter in the darkness that all shadows emerge.
