A child stands suspended between movement and hesitation, as if unsure whether the world ahead will receive or resist them. The title suggests beginning and promise, yet the figure appears already burdened.
 
The body is rendered with swirling, organic patterns that resemble exposed systems rather than skin. This suggests that what defines the child is not her surface, but what has already been written into the body beneath it.
 
Cool blues dominate the surroundings, mimicking sterility and containment. Against this backdrop, the child’s warm tones feel isolated, as if life itself has been placed inside an environment not designed to hold it. The gesture toward the edge of the canvas becomes tentative—uncertain to move forward with trust or caution.
