The title frames this moment as a closed circuit: signals exchanged between those unable to hear or see one another.
 
Paint is layered around the mouth and jaw, emphasizing effort over articulation. The cry becomes a physical act rather than a meaningful message. In this way, the piece speaks to a damage that precedes awareness, where the body reacts long before the mind can understand what is wrong.
